A History of Trust

Christy and Tom Woiwode compliment each other.  They've been married for over 24 years and have four children.  Home is Savannah, GA, but given any weekend you may find them in St. Simons, Beaufort, SC, or Hilton Head Island.  Christy is a native Savannahian, while Tom is from Peoria, IL.  Their paths crossed in 1992 when Tom, returning from a stay in New York City, stopped into a Savannah real estate firm to ask about a rental.  He ended up buying a home and in the process met Chisty - the receptionist at the time.  One year later, they were married.

Christy has grown up around real estate all of her life.  Beginning as the "Sign Girl" putting For Sale signs in the yards for her mother and father's real estate brokerage, then to Receptionist, then Listing coordinator, bookkeeper, Relocation Director, Accounting Director, COO, and now owner and CEO - she has learned the business of real estate from the ground up.  Tom came relatively late to the real estate business, having spent a career in the healthcare industry as a Registered Nurse, he joined the real estate business in 1999.  Shortly after obtaining his real estate license, Tom took his passion for teaching that he honed as a Clinical Nursing Instructor in ICU, and turned it toward real estate.  In 2003, he began teaching real estate pre-license classes and to this day offers 3 courses per year.

Christy's talents reside in the operational areas of the real estate business, and Tom's expertise is in real estate law, brokerage compliance, and training - their talents compliment each others perfectly.  They have worked together at Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners for 18 years.

After 40 years in the industry, Christy's mother Connie Ray, Founder of Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners, chose to step down as CEO.  It is Christy and Tom's honor to continue the legacy of Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners, and to uphold the foundation of integrity and stability that Connie Ray began.

Connie Ray, Founder

Since opening the doors at her first office in 1995, Connie Farmer Ray has developed the award-winning Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners into one of the premier residential real estate organizations, and the first to offer full-service real estate services, in the Georgia and South Carolina Coastal Region. She positioned herself with a Brand which was true to her own goals; Coldwell Banker was founded in 1906 on a commitment to professionalism and customer service; which continues to be her business philosophy today. Connie believes in giving back to the community, and so does her Company which collectively supports over 100 community organizations.

Connie has been in the real estate profession for over 41 years. She is a Certified Residential Brokerage Manager, and has served with distinction in many leadership capacities including: President of the local Board of REALTORS, Chairman of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, President of the MLS of Savannah, Regional Director for the Georgia Association of REALTORS, Board Chairman of First National Bank, Board of Governors Member for Bethesda Home for Boys, Educational Properties Foundation Board of Armstrong Atlantic State University, Board of Directors for United Way of the Coastal Empire.

Recently, Connie won the Philip M Heidt Award—This award is in recognition of outstanding professional and personal achievement of a full-time broker, owner or manager.  

Connie continues to be actively involved in various committees of the Board. Together with her husband, Dr. William S. Ray Jr., Connie continues her legacy; she has two children and six grandchildren.
